Hope Zoo Kingston Jamaica

It only makes sense with my wee man's love of animals that we visit the Zoo here in Jamaica. It is not comparative to other Zoos around the world with only a small variety of animals, the majority of which are birds.

A lot of renovations are happening at the minute so hopefully their selection of animals will increase. For a nearly two year old mind you it is a nice morning out and a great way to spend quality time with the grandparents who enjoyed showing him the different animals. There were definite favourites of seeing the large american crocodiles and the turtles.

There are some lovely shady spots if you fancy stopping for lunch and we enjoyed looking at the fishes.

If you are ever in Kingston it is a part of the Hope Botanical Gardens which are beautiful and well worth a visit which we will definitely be doing next time!

  6. You know we've never been. And when we're in JA we stay walking distance away from there. We will go to the botanical garden next time for sure.

    1. The boys will love all the space. You can find a nice shady spot with a cool breeze! The Zoo is honestly worth a visit even if there are mainly birds...just not got any of the bigger animals and the one monkey did look a bit lonely.
